Just this morning, AP Mid player for Counter Logic Gaming Michael 'BigfatLP' Tang, announced that he would be stepping down from his role in the starting lineup, now taking a more discreet role as the main substitute for the team. This comes as a surprise to many, as he has been the starting AP Mid for the team since he joined them back in 2010, having had a long 2 and a half years stint with them.

Taking his place in the starting lineup will be Austin "LiNk" Shin, who is a relatively new face within the team, having joined as a substitute last December. Austin is quite a versatile player, being able to adapt his play to each situation and being able to play a wide range of characters.

The change comes after BigfatLP felt an increasing lack of faith from his teammates in his ability to carry them in important tournament matches. According to what he posted on his Facebook account, he has tried to ignore what others think of his play and focus only on the game, but it has become increasingly clear to him that the lack of faith and continuous discussions during matches have brought his level of confidence down.

BigfatLP has stated he doesn’t know what the future holds for him, but also mentioned he has been offered a position as coach for CLG, something he might consider in the future. For now, he will be relaxing and streaming, until his future plans become clear.
